# What you'll need:
→ Bread & Sandwich Fillings
01 - 8 slices whole wheat or white sandwich bread
02 - 4 tablespoons cream cheese
03 - 4 tablespoons peanut butter or sunflower seed butter for nut-free option
04 - 4 tablespoons strawberry jam
05 - 4 slices cheddar cheese
06 - 4 slices turkey or ham (optional)
→ Edible Train Tracks & Decorations
07 - 2 large celery stalks
08 - 1 cup pretzel sticks
09 - 16 round cucumber slices
10 - 8 cherry tomatoes, halved
11 - 1 red bell pepper
12 - 1 yellow bell pepper
13 - 1 cup baby carrots
# Method:
01 - Cut bread slices into rectangles using cookie cutters or a knife to form train cars, and a larger shape for the engine. Assemble assorted sandwiches by spreading cream cheese with cucumber, peanut butter with jam, cheddar with turkey or ham, or preferred fillings. Press sandwiches gently together.
02 - Place celery stalks parallel on a large platter to create rails. Lay pretzel sticks across the celery at intervals to simulate cross-ties.
03 - Position sandwich rectangles on the celery rails as train cars. Attach cucumber rounds and cherry tomato halves as wheels, using small dabs of cream cheese if necessary. Decorate the engine with red and yellow bell pepper slices to mimic details and windows.
04 - Surround the train with baby carrots, extra cucumber slices, and additional vegetables for colorful snacking.
05 - Present immediately, encouraging children to play with the train cars before eating.
